Mitsubishi Vehicle Information

Since it started selling cars in the U.S. in 1981, Mitsubishi has focused on offering fun and affordable cars, and that continues to this day. Although most of its fun models like the Mitsubishi Eclipse, Mitsubishi Montero and, soon, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution have been phased out, the brand is poised for a comeback.  The recent trend in the automotive world is skewing back to crossovers and SUVs, and the future success of Mitsubishi will hinge on two key crossover models. The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is a stylish and sporty addition to the compact crossover lineup, while the mid-size, three-row Mitsubishi Outlander was just heavily updated to receive improved styling and refinement; both Mitsubishi crossovers offer considerable value in their respective segments.

On the car side of the lineup, Mitsubishi offers a trio of small, budget-minded cars. In this age where just about all major automakers are growing lineups including larger vehicles with more space, Mitsubishi has actually been shrinking its product mix in recent years, and the compact Mitsubishi Lancer is now the brand’s largest car. Sadly, the race-bred Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution will be leaving the lineup after the 2016 model year, but Mitsubishi is reportedly hard at work on a replacement… possibly based on the Outlander Sport and possibly using some sort of electric powertrain.

Speaking of electric cars, the Mitsubishi i-MiEV is an extremely affordable electric car, and if an EV doesn’t fit your lifestyle, the subcompact Mitsubishi Mirage is still a budget-saver as it is the lowest-priced new car in the U.S. Not including the soon-to-be-departed Lancer Evolution, all five models in the Mitsubishi lineup are priced under $22,995 including the $12,995 Mitsubishi Mirage.  Stay up to date on the latest products available from Mitsubishi by checking out the all of the pricing, specs, information and test drive reviews at TestDrive.com.
